  • We recommend polyester insulation be stapled to the joists at 100mm -150mm intervals to ensure it is secure and will not sag over time

A: Value Poly Polyester Underfloor Insulation can be used in climate zones 4, 6, 7, & 8. That covers all of Victoria.

Q: Is Value Poly Polyester Underfloor Insulation easy to install?
A: Installing underfloor insulation may be easy or challenging depending on your home's specific attributes. These include the height of the space beneath the floor, the spacing of the joists and any access issues.  We provide installation videos to make it super easy.

Q: What staples do I need and how many will I need?
A: T50 Staples were the staples of choice of the ecoMaster installation crews and are the size used for most good staplers. You will need about 340 staples per pack of Value Poly Underfloor Insulation. That's about 47 staples per sq metre.

Q: What is different about Value Poly to other under floor insulation?
A: Good question. Valuepoly is an excellent choice for those individuals who want all the benefits of a great polyester underfloor product but at a more affordable price. When budget is a priority Value Poly is the best choice.

Q: What is the difference between Value Poly and Polymax?
A: They are similar products. They have the same R value and are made from the same base materials.

Polymax  is made from 45% recycled plastic bottles and has a nominal loft of 140mm (there are some variations).  We recommend that you open the packs a day or two prior to installation to allow it to re-loft as the insulation has been compressed for transport (NOT vacuum packed).  Polymax is available is most States - Victoria, NSW, ACT, SA and WA.

Value Poly is made from 80% recycled plastic bottles. Value Poly may have a small amount of compression (it has NOT been vacuum packed) and may be slightly less than full loft (120mm) when first removed from the bag.Value Poly is available in Victoria only. If you are living outside of Victoria and wish to order Value Poly, please contact the team for a discussion about freight alternatives.

The length and width of underfloor insulation rolls depends upon the manufacturer - so check the Specs Tab carefully.

Q: How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
A: Currently the lead time is 1-2 days from the time of payment before your insulation can be delivered.  We may be able to deliver in a shorter time period - please ask!

Q: Can I pickup Value Poly Underfloor Insulation myself?
A: Yes. Value Poly Underfloor Insulation can be collected from our Collection Centre in Preston.  Call 1300 326 627 to make the appropriate arrangements.  To avoid disappointment, please do not arrive without confirming arrangements first.

Shipping

Where can you deliver to?
Melbourne Metro orders can be delivered for $98, but orders can be delivered to just about anywhere within Victoria. The freight costs will reflect the distance travelled. The cost will be the same regardless of whether it is one bag or a whole truck full.  So consider sharing with your neighbours to split the freight cost as it is the same cost whether there are a few bags or the truck is full.

How will my order be delivered?
We will contact you to make a mutually convenient time for your delivery. An ecoMaster driver will deliver your order to your door and help stack it where you want it.  They will even go over some of the finer points of installation if you wish.
If you can't be home to receive your order, just let us know where you want it stacked.

What if it is raining?
As you have ordered polyester insulation, it won't matter if the insulation bags get wet.  It will just dry out.  Unlike other insulation types, you won't have to replace the whole order.

Can I collect my order?
Yes - there is a Pickup opti
on in the checkout process.
Click here to check the collection location, dates and times.
Note this is a collection point only and is not constantly staffed.
Please check the Product Specifications to ensure you have sufficient capacity in your vehicle / trailer.

Warranty

Q: What is the product warranty for Value Poly?
A: Value Poly carries a product warranty of 50 years, but can be highly effective for much longer than that. We have not yet seen a 'failed' polyester product. It is incredibly robust and is not damaged by the elements that would generally damage other types of insulation, such as water, termites or breakdown of the glues that hold glass fibres together.

Q: What is the installation warranty for Value Poly?
A: As Value Poly is a DIY product there is no warranty on installation.

To get the best value for your investment, please, PLEASE watch the installation videos before you proceed.

If you have any questions, contact the ecoMaster team.  We are all ex-installers and have done this work thousands of times before.  We are here to help you.

Q: What do I do if I have a problem with this product?
A: Refer to our Returns / Refunds page [Learn More].  Our Research and Development team will be keenly interested to learn of any product failure and will want images and samples of the product (if possible) so they can determine what the cause of failure was.

Good product, simple installation, good service.

We recently completed insulating under the floor of our 120sqm 1950s weatherboard place in Melbourne. It took us close to six months to finish - doing a bit at a time. The installation videos from EcoMaster were very useful and after a short time the process became second nature. It's not a difficult job but it can be physically taxing, in a fairly unpleasant environment, so we found we could only do a couple of hours at a time. But the difference is clear: on cold winter mornings the floorboards feel noticably less cold underfoot since completing each room (and when the cat gets up the warm patch he left stays warm to the touch for quite a while!!). Just be prepared that, depending on what your underfloor area is like, doing the whole house might take a little longer than you plan!

Hi Adam,

We are overjoyed to read your 5 star review! Thank you for supporting our business, we truly appreciate your honest and informative feedback.

No more cold feet

The underfloor insulation proved better than we hoped. We had got used to cold feet on our Melbourne timber floor through the cold months. After the insulation was installed we used the ‘bare foot test’ and were pleasantly surprised at how the floor no longer felt cold. We also had the use of a thermal imaging camera at the time and recorded a very significant jump in the floor temperature. Very happy!

Hi Robin and Paul,

It's always amazing to hear our customers rave about our underfloor insulation after installation. We are super excited to know there will no longer be any cold feet in your home!! We hope to serve you again soon. Have a fabulous day!!

Value Poly Underfloor Insulation

Having no knowledge about underfloor insulation Ecomaster was a great start and lots of information on their website.
As for the underfloor insulation it has worked really well in dampening a lot of noise coming from outside. My house is on stumps and our street is not level so without realising a considerable amount of noise was coming through the underside of the house. Through renovations I removed the carpet and also noticed small gaps around skirting boards and in the floor in some places allowing cold drafts coming through the old wood floors. The underfloor insulation has resolved both these issues and the house is more quiet and no drafts coming through the wooden floors. Well worth the expense to put in as I can enjoy my original wooden floors and no longer have to consider covering them over with some other floating floor which in the long run would be far more expensive.

We are so grateful to receive this outstanding review Patricia! It makes our day hearing about how much our customers love our Value Poly Underfloor Insulation!
We are overjoyed to know that it has made such a prolific difference to your homes comfort and noise level. Thank you for choosing us!
