Q: What does a Door Draught Perimeter Seal (RP78) do?
A: The RP78 is a slim line door draught stopper that goes around the top and sides of your door. It seals the gap between the sides and top of the door and the jamb. On regular external inward opening doors the RP78 is fixed on the outside.

Q: Is the RP78 easy to install?
A: The RP78 is easy to install, however there are a few things to watch out for:

- You can apply too much pressure onto the door which will flex the door and potentially make it hard to close. The seal should just touch the door. Ensure to fit the screws in the centre of the fixing holes, this will allow you some adjustment room.

- The silicone seal is durable however, it can be punctured by the tip of a driver. To avoid this pilot drill the jamb first, this will also make it easier to ensure the screws fit in the centre of the slot.

- When fixing onto a metal door jamb we suggest you use a centre punch to mark the place of fixings on the metal. Use the drill or some of the self drilling screws to make the threaded fixing holes. Then fit the RP78 taking care to keep the driver tip on the screw head.

Q: How do you install the RP78?
A: The RP78 comes with comprehensive installation instructions.

Q: How long does it take from ordering to delivery?
A: Delivery times vary depending on where you would like your order delivered to. Usually for metro areas delivery is within a week. Please keep in mind that all orders are sent from Melbourne.

Q: What is the RP78 made of?
A: The RP78 is made from high quality aluminium and silicon rubber.

Q: Do you have a recommended installer for Door Draught Perimeter Seals?

Q: Will I see the screw fixings?
A: No, the RP78 has a cover strap that hides the screw fixings.

Q: Is there a warranty on this product?
A: There is a 2 year manufacturer warranty as long as the product is installed according to instructions.

Q: Is there a warranty on the installation of the product?
A: As this is a DIY product, we cannot provide an installation warranty as the installation process is out of our control.

Q: Does this help reduce noise?
A: The RP78 will greatly reduce noise penetration.

Q: Is it fire rated?
A: The RP78 is rated BAL FZ.

Q: Can I exchange if they are the wrong size or colour?

Neat Solution

So far I have found the Draught Dodgers fairly easy to install on my casement windows. I have quite a few to install so I invested in a proper mitre saw which enables me to make perfect 90 degree cuts and also 75 degree cuts to match the angle of the bevel. This allows me to use all the off-cuts as there is more than enough wood for each window. I stained & varnished all the lengths first before installing and now have a really professional looking job.

Excellent door seal

Good quality and very clever design. I had my handyman help me to install it, and he said the video was easy to follow. The little piece of board that helps the installer measure the width of the rubber seal made all the difference, he said. Also, great service from Eco master when I rang with questions before I purchased

Easy to install

I installed 2 small and 1 large pelmet above 3 different windows. It was easy to do, although a join on the big one fell apart once, so make sure you stick it down really hard. They really are invisible which I like, as I find box pelmets too heavy.

We are quite thrilled that you like our 'Invisible Pelmets'! Good point about 'sticking down hard', it is the best way to active any adhesive tape.

Goodbye Heating Vents

Cutting the boards to size was easy and installing the units was also straightforward.
The return unit was a bit fiddly due to it being a long oblong with an angled and uneven top but used the offcut board pieces to make a level surface and lots of filler.
Units are a bit pricey.
