A: Trimming the Chimney Draught Stopper to size is easy and can be done with a sharp knife.

This is pretty common, there are 2 solutions we recommend. Use 1 Chimney Draught Stopper high in the chimney in order to effectively seal both fireplaces.

OR 

Seal both fireplaces lower in the chimney using 2 pieces of the Chimney Draught Stopper (or potentially 2 Chimney Draught Stoppers- depending on size).
