Q: What is a Raven RP3 Automatic Drop Down Excluder?
A: The RP3 is an automatic, cam-activated, drop down draught excluder. This is a light duty and inexpensive door draught proofing solution. By far, it is the most popular and most successful draught excluder available in Australia.

Q: How does it work?
A: The automatic drop down wiper blade is pressed down onto the doorstep as the door is closed by the newly styled cam that is fitted to the latch side. A spring mechanism lifts the wiper blade clear of the doorstep as the door opens. That is what makes it 'automatic'. It automatically opens and closes as the door is operated.

Q: Will it affect the operation of my doors?
A: This product should not prevent your door from its natural function, if you can no longer open or close your door after installation, then it may have been installed incorrectly.

Q: Does the RP3 Draught Excluder provide a weather proof seal for rain as well?
A: The RP3 will provide SOME protection against water ingress. The level of protection depends upon whether the door step itself is flat, and therefore the RP3 will be able to make firm contact. The RP3 will not hold back flood waters, but should (with the correct fitting and a treadplate in place) withstand rain.

Easy and Effective

Now the second time I've used this product, very easy to handle and install. Every room I've done makes a massive difference.

Amazing little kit that even I could install.

I am by no means a DIY specialist. Having got rid of our gas heater I wanted to seal our ducts quickly and easily (oh, and cheaply of course). So after hours of searching, I found ecomaster. Anyway, I carefully watched the videos and decided to give them a go. I'm glad I did. They were surprisingly easy to install. All my vents were random sizes just a little smaller than standard, so I had to cut the boards. But that was easy. Then, shove them in and seal them up. It really was that easy, and I was surprised to have 9 vents done in an hour. The heater intake took a little longer as I had to crawl inside the linen cupboard to seal it, but I got there.

I would highly recommend these kits, and it's always nice to support a small local Australian company. I had a lovely chat with Lyn when I picked up the kits at their Preston warehouse too, which really helps provide that human touch.
