DraftStoppa | Exhaust Fan Covers | About
A Draftstoppa is a device that prevents draughts from entering through kitchen, bathroom, laundry or toilet exhaust fans that are fitted in the ceiling. It has recyclable plastic butterfly wings that open automatically when the exhaust fan is switched on, and close down when the fan is switched off.
A DraftStoppa can also be fitted to 3-in-1 bathroom heat lamp units, but an electrician is required to rewire the switch to ensure that the fan is always on when the heating lamps are on. [Learn more]

Test Results:
Winter test results demonstrated, with an external temperature of 1ºC and an average internal room (10m x 4m x 2.7m - volume 108m³) and an inside ambient temperature of 15.5ºC, the cold air inflow from the roof cavity through an unsealed fan into the room was measured at 13 litres / second.
This means that for every hour 46.8m³ of cold air would have entered the room. The total volume of warm air would be replaced every 2 hours and 20 minutes. Can you imagine what that is costing you! Every.single.day!!
